Michael D. McClellan
Background and Education
Mr. McClellan graduated magna cum
laude from Creighton University School of Law in 1991. From
1992 until March of 1996, Mr. McClellan was affiliated with the
firm of Abrahams, Kaslow and Cassman in Omaha. In March of 1996,
Mr. McClellan began a law partnership with Michael D. Nelson
locating in downtown Omaha. Since beginning in the practice of
law, Mr. McClellan has gained primary experience in litigation;
municipal and administrative law; and zoning and real estate.

Litigation in state and federal
courts, including representing both plaintiffs and defendants
in personal injury lawsuits.
Representing clients in municipal
zoning and planning proceedings, including zoning litigation.
Representation of Nebraska
political subdivisions,
including advice on local government issues, zoning and planning
issues, drafting and preparation of local ordinances, and advice
and negotiation of tax increment financing agreements.
Representation of clients in
commercial real estate transactions, including the
representation of a Midwest retailer in a variety of real estate
matters, including the drafting, preparation and negotiation of
long-term leases and the drafting, preparation and negotiation of
other agreements dealing with the purchase, sale and development
of real property for commercial use.
Representation of Nebraska
municipalities in cable television franchising
matters, including rate regulation by the local government
pursuant to FCC regulations.
Representation of both plaintiffs and defendants in Workers
Compensation Cases.
